1) Who are Fields Domestic Appliances ?
Fields Domestic Appliances are a family run business, we opened the Gerrards Cross store in 1994 and the Beaconsfield store in 1998, the business is owned and run by Clive , Amanda and their son Connor Schofield.

The Stores
3) What are the store opening hours?
Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross are open Monday - Saturday 9am - 5.30pm.
4) What are the sales phone lines hours?
You can phone the sales line 7 days a week 9am -8pm.
5) Can I Collect the same day ?
If we have the stock in our Beaconsfield Branch then you can phone for availability, pay and collect directly from this store.
6) Is there parking available at the stores ?
Beaconsfield store has a car park behind the shop access via Reynolds Road, on street parking and other car parks are available in the town.
Gerrards Cross has on street parking on Station Road and also a car park is further down the road opposite Waitrose . Other car parks are available in Gerrards Cross.
7) I am disabled can I access the stores ?
The Beaconsfield store has easy access for wheelchairs the shop is all on the flat level. Gerrards Cross store does have 3 steps up to the entrance.

8) Which Credit cards do you accept ?
In store
We accept a number of cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay , Google Pay.
We will also accept cash but no cheques.
Online Payments
We do not accept American Express via our website, Phone the store or pop in for ordering with this method.
Otherwise online we accept Klarna, Apple Pay, Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay, Maestro.
9) How do I know the appliance will fit ?
When discussing any appliances we will ask a few questions to ascertain which appliance suits your requirements. Any photos, instructions books etc are always of help. Dimensions for appliances are also available on the website.
Delivery
10) Who will delivery my appliance ?
Any Appliance sold by Fields will be delivered by a Fields employee, wearing Fields uniform and using a Fields delivery vehicle. (If the vehicle is not available you will be notified)
11) What days do you deliver ?
We delivery appliances Monday – Friday .
In certain circumstances it may be possible to have a Saturday delivery ( subject to staff availability etc)
12) How many delivery people are on the van ?
Generally we have the 1 member of staff on our vans , if we need more than 1 person for your delivery , this information needs to be given to the store on ordering , to make the necessary adjustments to the day .
13) Do you deliver to my area ?
If you are unsure about your address, phone the store.
14) Do I need to be at the property for my delivery ?
Ideally yes, but if for some reason you cannot be there in person then it is your responsibility to make sure someone is there to accept the delivery.(Phone store for other solutions).
15) What do I do if I have a failed delivery ?
Occasionally something may happen which is beyond our control, road closures, adverse weather, staff sickness. We will keep you informed and find a solution that works for us both, but We are not liable for anything that is out of our control, this might include third party engineer or food delivery.
16) Can I get a time for my delivery ?
We advise all customers to phone the day before delivery between 4-5pm to receive a 3-hour delivery slot.

If you have a Monday delivery, you are welcome to phone the store on the Saturday between 4-5pm or the Monday morning after 9am.
17) Do I need to let the shop know of access requirements ?
To make the delivery to your home as smooth and as easier as possible, the more information we can be supplied with on order of the appliance, will help make the delivery go smoothly .
We will need to know, is your house / apartment easy to find? Do you have a gate, steep driveway, awkward parking system? Any steps up to the property to even inside the property? Does the appliance need to be carried over any obstacles (narrow corridors / radiators)? All this information will help us plan an effective route.
If we deem that the delivery is not safe, we reserve the right to redelivery at an additional cost or we will refund the price of the appliance.
18) Do I need to disconnect the appliance ?
Disconnection is something we will do whether it be a laundry plumbing or a hard-wired appliance.
19) Will you install my new appliance ?
We will install appliances to existing plumbing and wiring, if we deem this is unstable or unsuitable we will discuss this with you and recommend a solution.
20) Will you connect my Gas appliance ?
Gas appliances need to connected up safely by a Gas Safe registered person, we can disconnect and recommend an Installation person who you need to pay directly as not an employee of Fields Domestic Appliances.
21) Will you install my new Hob ?
We will Install a Hob to existing current hole in the worktop, we will also increase the size of the worktop in laminate or wood (may be additional cost)
A solid surface such as granite, composite or metal will need a specialised company at a additional cost,
22) Do I need to defrost my refrigeration appliance before your delivery ?
If the refrigeration appliance is still working, we prefer this is NOT turned off, in fact if it can be made colder this will then make it less likely to drip all over your floors.
23) Will I need to empty my refrigeration appliance before delivery ?
Storing the food elsewhere is always going to be easier but if not possible then put the food into easy to move bags in the refrigeration appliance, then we can move the food easier to the new appliances straight away.
24) Can I turn my refrigeration appliance on straight away ?
The new appliance will need to sit and have the gases separate before turning on, the delivery team will tell you exactly when you can turn the new appliance on.
25) Will you take away my old appliance for free ?
Depending on the appliance, we will take the old appliance away either free or for a fee. (Online orders and Refrigeration appliance incur a cost)
26) Will you take away the packaging ?
Packaging from the appliance will be removed as per website order instructions or an In store order instructions.
27) Can I extend my warranty ?
Every appliance will come with a manufactures warranty, 1/2/3 or 5 years , if you would like to extend this warranty contact the manufacture directly or Domestic & General for more information.
28) Do you offer Price Match ?
We offer the best price and service around but occasionally we are happy to price match the same Delivery, service, installation of the exact same appliance that we offer.
29) Do you provide a repair service ?
We do have a repair service, phone the store with the appliance brand, how old the appliance is, and the issue.
If the appliance is under the manufacturer’s warranty, we suggest phone us first just in case a quick check can be done. If not, then phone the manufacturer directly.
If the appliance is out of warranty, we have our own engineer to help. Callout fee is £90 including the first hour of labour. After this the next 10 mins is £10 and so on.
Returns
30 day returns
Not happy with your product, if the product is unused then a refund can be issued.
Phone the store for more information. Small items are the responsibility of the customer to bring into store in the original packaging and instruction book.
There will be a collection charge for large items (Washing Machine , Dishwasher, Cooking , Refrigeration )£49.99, this will be deducted from your refund.
The refund will need to go back on the original payment method.
Whether the product is used or unused a collection charge will apply.
31) I think I have a fault ?
Contact the store directly with the details of the appliance, when it was purchased and the problem .
